I almost got kicked out of Summer Art School

I got back from Governor's School for the Arts about a week ago. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life. Basically I practiced painting, drawing and printmaking 7 hours a day for over month. It was fun as hell but but at the same time exhausting.

Since it was a month long thing, we had to stay in dorms( duh). The rules were really strict, especially for the guys. They were as follows: No drinking, no smoking, no parties, no loud music, no staying up past midnight, no kissing girls, no touching girls, no holding hands, no hugging, if you are caught touching a girl you will get kicked out, and possibly go to jail! Are you freaking kidding me?! The worst part of it was, it was a one strike deal. You do one of the following, and you get kicked out. HAHA who gets kicked out of school for holding hands? Another thing that kind blew was that the grades that we got in the art courses count for college! If you were to get kicked out, you would receive a zero in all of your classes, and you would be going into college with a 0 gpa.

So, naturally, my room mate and I decided to throw a rave in our dorm room at 3 in the morning with a bunch of girls. It was freakin awesome until the councilors found out. Luckily, they were pretty cool about it and we didn't get in trouble.

Besides my terrible judgement and dubstep parties, everything went really smoothly. I made a lot of art, learned and improved, and made some connections.

Chimbley was already taken, so I'll go under the name of Tiderium. My deviant page is really empty right now, but I'm working on filling that bastard up. All of my art is gonna go up there soon. And of course, I'll put it on Newgrounds as well.

I am also working on an animation. Its about Pinatas! Its probably going to be my only one for a while because I really have to crack down on some serious art for the school year. Anyway, I'll catch you guys later.

Damn, sounds like somebody had a stick up their ass when they made these ridiculous rules. But going to jail for breaking them?! A tad harsh and overreacting in my opinion. At least the councilors weren't as harsh and more accepting of young adult behavior. Too bad you couldn't do a petition to rewrite or remove these rules....

interesting they didnt kick you out. They are less strict than what you thought at the beginning. I would never have accepted such strict rules and went to some other school instead (or ignore the rules)
